SSO and Just In Time Provisioning (JIT)
Overview
SSO and Just in Time Provisioning allows your students to sign up to Glean without the need for an individual invite to be sent.
Important - Just in Time Provisioning is only available for our Site Wide customers, who have a subscription that covers access for every student.
On this page:
- New Users
- Users who are already on your Organisation account (active or expired)
- Users who have another type of Glean account (active or expired)
New Users
Go to https://app.glean.co/sso-sign-up
Enter their email address
Click Sign Up
The student will then be taken to your SSO provider for authentication
(How this looks will vary depending on which service provider you use and what has been set up by your IT team).
Once they have confirmed their details the user is taken straight to Glean.
Users will also receive a welcome email: https://help.glean.co/article/230-welcome-to-glean-email
Info - If you want to invite students using the existing Admin Portal then you can still do that as usual. Users will be able to sign up using the invitation email and still use SSO.
Users who are already on your Organisation account (active or expired)
For users who are already active on your account you don't need to do anything; they will be able to sign in to their Glean account as usual, either with their password or SSO.
For users who have expired on your account, you will have to reactivate their access through the Admin Portal.
Users who have another type of Glean account (active or expired)
For all other users, you will need to ask them to email support@glean.co from the specific email address that they use for Glean. We can then help get their accounts set up.
