How much audio can I have in an Event?

TLDR: As much as you want - there is no maximum.

Your Glean Event can contain your recorded audio, imported audio or a combination of both.

Important - The more audio you have in your Event the more work your device needs to do, which can cause lower spec devices to struggle. So it's still recommended to keep your Events shorter and have more of them, rather than combining multiple sessions into one single Event.

Info - You can find our hardware recommendations here: https://glean.co/specification

For devices that only meet our minimum spec, we would advise keeping each Event to around 1 -1.5 hours of audio.

Recorded Audio Limits

You can record as much as you need - however Glean will pause recording every 4 hours to make sure you still want to continue. Just resume recording to capture even more audio.

Imported Audio Limits

When importing audio you are only limited by the file size. You can import 300MB mp3 files or 1.5GB WAV files. These are enough for around 2 hours of audio (depending on your sample rate).

You can import as many files as you want (one at a time).
